Thoughtful Layout Planning: Coffee Corner by the Sink

As avid coffee lovers, the homeowners enjoy a steaming cup of homemade latte every day. Our kitchen designer placed the coffee machine next to the sink, complete with plumbing integration. This thoughtful setup ensures a seamless and convenient experience for them.

To accommodate the retired couple’s needs, the designer added a thoughtful touch: a 21” bar sink on the island, positioned on the same side as the cooktop. This allows them to fill pots with water without needing to turn around, making cooking more effortless.

Built-in Appliances and Pull-Out Trays for Small Appliances

Near the window, we incorporated an innovative and functional design: a glass cabinet with a pull-out tray for storing a rice cooker and blender. When in use, the pull-out tray prevents steam from escaping into the cabinet, protecting it from moisture damage. When not in use, the appliances can be tucked away, maintaining a clean and organized look without frequent plugging and unplugging.

Healthy Cooking, Minimalist Meals, and Professional Cleaning

The Diamond Bar homeowners prioritize healthy living and quality of life. Their daily cooking focuses on light, healthy meals. To enhance convenience, we installed a cooktop with an integrated range hood directly on the island.

Additionally, they hired a professional cleaning team to deep clean the entire home regularly. Thanks to this, their open-concept European kitchen looks as pristine after a year as it did when they first moved in.

Maximizing Storage with Pull-Out Baskets and Drawers

The homeowners love hosting tea parties with friends and have a passion for collecting beautiful tea sets, such as English afternoon tea sets, Japanese tea sets, and vintage crystal glasses.

To cater to their needs for functional storage and elegant display, our designer created three sets of glass upper cabinets with Blum pull-out baskets and 30” base cabinets with Blum pull-out trays. This setup allows for categorized storage and stylish display of their collection.

The gray glass cabinets exude a subtle yet sophisticated charm. To further enhance convenience, we upgraded the flip-up glass cabinets with an automatic opening and closing function.
